TV
Bart and I are in a discussion that we are welcoming your opinion on..... Is it bad to put a TV in your child's rooms when they are little? At the bottom of this page there is a poll. Please take time to give us your opinion. Thanks.

Seth and I were just discussing this like 2 days ago and don't know either so I am excited to see the response to your poll
You are the computer savy one now with your poll. While Stephen would say no (that's why Morgan doesn't have one) I might say yes, just to be able to watch one show that isn't animated. But be prepared to be lonely when they are in their room. We compromised & put one in the guest room & she goes in there & watches.
i think we have to start by asking, "Is culture neutral?" obviously, the answer is "no." that means, that anything that they watch on tv needs to be monitored. Culture wants to turn my child into a consumer that buys it's products. And it is definitely not concerned with pushing MY agenda for my kids. the other problem is that families begin to act like individuals and not "units". everyone comes home and then divides up into their own "cells" instead of giving and taking and compromising as to what they watch (one wants Backyardigans and one wants Calliou) they all get their own way- and there is no arguing- but our kids grow into selfish adults. Of course, this isn't all b/c they have a tv in their room...but you know what i am saying. greg and i just talked about this the other night, "Why are we teaching, discipling & shepherding...and then letting Raven, Hannah & Lizzy babysit?" They have a strong influence.
I agree with Tracey. Love you.
